This policy explains how the Android app SNAP Benefits Calculator ("the app") handles information. The app is published by Fdaytalk ("we", "us").
Not a government app. The app is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or connected to the U.S. Department of Agriculture, any state or local SNAP agency, or any other government body. It gives estimates only. Your state or local SNAP office makes the final decision on eligibility and benefit amounts.
The app asks for details such as household size, location (state or territory you pick from a list), income, housing costs, dependent care, child support, medical costs, and cash or bank balances. It uses these only to calculate your estimate. This information is processed on your device and saved on your device so you do not have to re-enter it. We do not receive, collect, store, or transmit it. The app has no account, no login, and no servers of its own.
If you set a recertification date or a monthly deposit-day reminder, the app schedules notifications on your device using Android's local notification system. The dates you choose are stored on your device only. You can turn reminders off at any time inside the app or in your phone's notification settings.
The items you tick on the checklist are saved on your device only.
The app shows ads served by Google AdMob. To serve and measure ads, AdMob and Google may collect and use information such as your device's advertising ID, IP address, device and app information, and interactions with ads. Depending on where you live, the app may show a consent message before ads are personalized. You can reset your advertising ID or opt out of ad personalization in your Android settings (Settings > Privacy > Ads).
We do not add any other analytics or tracking tools to the app.
The app links to an official government website where you can find your state's SNAP office. That site is run by others and has its own privacy practices.
The app is intended for adults (18 and over) and is not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect information from children.
To remove the information the app saved on your device, open About > Clear my saved answers, or uninstall the app. Because we do not hold your data, there is nothing to delete on our side.
Your entries stay on your device and are protected by your phone's own security. We recommend keeping your phone locked and up to date.
If the app changes how it handles information, we will update this page and the date above.
